My DCG DVD layout. it’s a fictional film folks

June 4th, 2007

Did this sweet DVD design for my DA class. It’s a fictional film but i think for my first real layout design…I personally think it’s damn good. But that’s my opinion. What do you think?

Ok…Game designers.

June 4th, 2007

I’ve been sitting here thinking. We have all these different professions in our studio, but the one profession which we should have but don’t is game designers. What the hell was i thinking? I’m gonna have to go recruiting when i get back to Full Sail on Tuesday. I’m sure i can find someone motivated enough to join us. After all…it’s free inhouse content for a game. Any smart person wouldn’t turn that down……………..I hope.

Hmmm….

June 4th, 2007

Just logged into an old game i started playing almost 3 years ago….I haven’t logged in to it in over a year, but now it’s like playing a whole new game again. Star Wars Galaxies. Lot’s of stuff to do…but the population is very sparse. Where the heck did every one go?!……………oh……….W.O.W. I should have known. duh. I need to be drawing instead of playing games anyways. :)

The most wonderful digital sculpting tool ever.

June 4th, 2007

One small step for man. One extraordinary leap for artists.

Every hero’s journey begins with a single step. ZBrush 3 is the next step; the next step in the creation process; the step that liberates you from the restrictions of conventional software; the step that carries you beyond experience and knowledge and into pure imagination. Sculpt using materials that so closely resemble earth you’ll wonder why your hands aren’t dirty. Pose your sculpture as if you were moving its limbs with your hands rather than a stylus and a tablet. ZBrush’s technology allows you to ignore technology altogether, transferring its power directly to your hands, hands that can be used to create, sculpt, imagine and cast your creations as heroes in your own journey.
got my first taste of this program last nite. Breathtaking program. You can check it out at www.Pixologic.com

Studio organization.

June 4th, 2007

Ah…my first post since bldg the site. Not much happening….but i must say, the guys and gals of Visual Aftermath Studio (formally Vinalystic Arts) came together and reorganized the studio into a more productive environment. It actually was fun for once rearranging furniture (hope my girl doesn’t see this lol). Really proud of them for everything they did today. Now we can be a little more inspired to work.

This is a Podcast I made using Garageband.

May 24th, 2007

I’m hoping to get a little better with this Program because its quite nice to work with. A little less than what you can do in Final Cut Pro….but still fun a widely customizable. The Podcast itself is an Interview I did with a small pre-production studio which i’m also a part of named Vinalystic Arts/ Vagrant Arts Studios. We are still in the process of setting up our Studio space with extra equipment and other materials..but we are currently operational.
